Coaches' Bios
Head Coach Dan Bledsoe
My name is Dan Bledsoe, and I am excited to be back for my sixth year as the head of the Boar’s Head swim team. I am a certified American Swim Coaches Association level 2 swim coach. I have served as an assistant coach for CYAC, the Charlottesville YMCA swim team and have served as an assistant coach for SMAC, the Waynesboro YMCA swim team. I have also spent the past 6 years as the head coach of the Waynesboro High School swim team. In addition to my coaching duties, I am presently interning as an Assistant Principal at KCMS after five years as a Social Studies teacher at Waynesboro High School, where I primarily taught 11th grade US History and AP US History.
Coaching Philosophy: To provide a level of coaching that will lead to the development of elite swimmers, should they so aspire, while at the same time allowing other swimmers to develop character, self-confidence, and a love for the sport in an open and friendly atmosphere.
